Hey, I’m 14 years old and I live in Alice Springs. I’m interested in long distance running, triathlon, rock climbing, chess, permaculture, appropriate technology, alternative building and climate change as well as all the other problems the world has got itself into!

My dad suggested I learn about permaculture so I read Rosemary Morrow’s ‘Earthusers guide to permaculture’ and I loved it. I’m now trying to get hold of ‘permaculture: a designers manual’.

At the moment I’m designing and building a desk for myself and trying to start a youth environment network here in Alice. I’m just starting the process of redesigning my family’s backyard along the permaculture principles. If anyone has any knowledge of Central Australian plants and animals or strategies that might work here then I would love to hear them.
