I have a background in Environmental Studies, perennial garden care and landscaping. Currently I work in massage and ecological garden care.
While studying Environmental Studies I became convinced that the biological systems of the earth were under terrible threat, and I did not feel that any usable answers could be found in the college setting where I was. I was drawn to Buddhism, Native American traditions I was introduced to permaculture back in the 80's at an Intro to permaculture by Dan Hemenway, and have studied it off and on since then.
I now own 2.5 acres in the Northeast Kingdom of VT. Just finished my PDC with Geoff Lawton online, and was recently certified. Am interested in Wwoofers to help implement the design. I hope to segue completely out of perennial garden maintenance and into permaculture consulting, designing and implementing, as well as propagating permaculture-useful plants. I am also interested in creating a non-profit to bring permaculture to particularly hard-hit areas of the world such as the Sahel and Middle East. My hoped-for next steps are internships in Jordan and possibly Australia.
