I am the founder of the Smart Farm in Barrington, IL. We run a not for profit, volunteer run, educational farm that provides 90% of all we grow to those in need. In 2017, we expanded our farm from 1.75acres to 10 acres of land. Our farm manager and I decided to take a permaculture class to learn how to efficiently and responsibly take care of our property and create a sustainable food forest for the future.
