(projects i'm involved in)
I took a Permaculture/BioDynamic course through Mt. Diablo college in California in 1998 and heard a lecture with Bill Mollison in SF. I have been since then integrating the principles in my life and in my gardens over the last 20 years. The project below is my way of spreading the hope and solutions that I believe Permaculture has to offer the communities across the US:
We have built a website/application that connects people to individual local green online resource hubs for green living and taking action to care for the earth with their local communities. The site is based on the stacking function principle. This is stacking function because our public benefit company is going to market the central hub and all of the over 50 local hubs and bring people to it through social media marketing, podcasts, video ads, etc. on a constant and ongoing basis. By being collaborative we are promoting everything green in all places across the USA. These local hubs are community built and free for anyone to login and add to any directory listing type, including promotions. The site is a resource for organizations, groups and businesses to reach out to the public and offer them more opportunities to learn and get involved. This is the time for Permaculture to get out in the community more and help people engage in regenerating their yards, and their communities and their lives.
Please join us in getting the word out and creating new ways for the community to get involved.
