(projects i'm involved in)
I'm a design engineer, working in electronics and software, but with an interest in plants for years. I started life in Portsmouth, UK, but have been living in France for 15 years now.
I found out about Permaculture through my involvement with the Transition Network, being one of the cofounders of Transition Ferney-Voltaire. As Transition methods seem to work, and they strongly recommended knowing about permaculture, I booked myself on a course.
Now, I'm back in my town, armed with a much better idea of what it will practically take to feed the town. I have at least one Forest Garden to design, along with a redesign of my own garden (with a herb spiral for my wife - sorry Steve!), and multiple synergistic shared garden projects.
Hedges are now edges, and I no longer like fields...
