(projects i'm following)
Born and raised around St. Louis, MO lived in Memphis, TN during which time I started a variety of community projects oriented towards social and ecological justice. Began learning about permaculture in 1999. Moved back to Missouri in 2004.
Interest in permaculture began when I lived in a housing co-op in Memphis with 10 other people. As the primary gardener I found permaculture during my exploration of various gardening techniques. Discovered it was far more than gardening and began to implement it in different ways in the co-op.
Upon returning to Missouri I've built a small cabin on some family land and have begun putting permaculture design to use. In three years I've built a chicken co-op/greenhouse, food forests, kitchen garden, and a rain barrel collection system. More to learn and put into practice but it is real as of right now. Just a matter of observing, refining, and sharing with the local town community.
