I have from my early years been interested in the environment and organic farming and gardening. My university studies were in chemistry, biological science and nutrition and have taught agriculture and horticulture in the mainstream educational system as well as environmental science, biology, chemistry and mathematics.
When I first heard about Permaculture in the late seventies I was very excited about it and took one of the first PDCs with Bill Mollison in 1981. Since that time I have worked as a permaculture Designer and educator. Additionally I initiated and convened several PDC courses at Melbourne University taught by Bill Mollison and Geoff Lawton. The first of these courses was filmed and that material is a valuable resource to permacultue teachers and enthusiasts worldwide.
Recently I was invited to co -teaching a PDC with Geoff Lawton at The Permaculture Research Institute. I gratefully and immediately accepted that invitation and was delighted to work as a permaculture teacher at such an outstanding permaculture demonstration site and educational facility. Currently I am continuing my Permaculture Design and Education work in Melbourne and Gippsland.
