(projects i'm involved in)
As a kid I worked with gamekeepers and on mixed, dairy farms; my grandfather was the village blacksmith and beekeeper. This is the same village where Charles Darwin collected specimens when he was a kid.
Graduated London BSc (Hons.) in Ecology then PhD Queensland Uni in Tropical Agroecology specializing in Earthworms. I have published about 400 new native species and found about 100 new exotics. Pemaculturist since hearing Bill Mollison in Sydney in 1988 and completing my PDC with Bill in Tassie in the new Millennium. In 2016, completed Sustainable Building course with Geoff Lawton at Zaytuna in NSW. I am still a struggling soil ecologist and earthworm specialist (as was Darwin...).
Particular interests are healthy organic farm soils that will solve most of World's problems of loss of biodiversity, soil moisture, food security and carbon sequestration/climate change. Unsurprisingly, there seems be be little real academic/government interest, so it is up to us permies to fix it on our own.
Here is my academic website: http://www.annelida.net/earthworm/ and weblog: https://vermecology.wordpress.com/ .
My PDC certificate from Bill Mollison in Tassi in 2000/2001 is here - https://vermecology.files.wordpress.com/2018/02/pdc.jpg?w=768 .
