A former teacher, Ann participates in efforts to shift our culture toward an ecological paradigm that honors care of the earth and all its living beings. She is active in the Transition movement as well as other environmental groups and is dedicated to positive change at all levels, from local gardens to national changes in carbon pricing policy.
She has received certificates in permaculture design and organic gardening and has 30 years’ experience working with communities and individuals to establish individual resiliency after traumatic events. She graduated as a Buddhist chaplain in 2015 with a focus on exploring the role of a chaplain within secular environmental communities.
Currently, she is interested in promoting city-wide efforts to reduce fossil fuel, especially through creating ultra local rural/urban land trusts for small scale farmers. She also likes to redesign old clothes, make jam and wants to learn about growing food in winter in Montreal.
