Born in Quito in 1975. Grew up in rural Tumbaco valley.

Started practicing permaculture in 1998, completed a PDC that year. Started teaching to farmers almost immediately, with small workshops in soil management and gardening.

Travelled and learned from farmers in different regions of Ecuador, Perú, Bolivia.

Created the School of Ecological Design (now Ecoversity of the Ecuatorial Andes, http://ecoversidad.redsemillas.org) in 2000. Now Academic Coordinator of it.

Created Red de Guardianes de Semillas (Seed Guardian's Network, http://redsemillas.org) in 2002. Now coordinator of communication.

Editor of Allpa Magazine of practical ecology (http://allpa.redsemillas.org)

Founder and assistant in farmer's market network in Ecuador.

Teacher, organizer and speaker in around 500 workshops and conferences, in Latin America and some in Europe.

Consultant in permaculture design, natural building, seeds, food sovereignity, practical ecology and solidarity economics. Clients private, communities, farmers & indigenous organizations, and governemental institutions.
