My life took a radical turn about 16years ago, a spiritual awakening. I left behind the make-up, fancy clothes and BMW, bought a kombi van took off my shoes wiped the gunk off my face and connected with what I felt was really important; the earth, and myself.
I started growing vegies 12 years ago and found a new passion, I turned an acre of grass into a productive market garden and supplied organic/bio-dynamic vegetables to the local community at a weekly produce market. I also taught stone carving for 6 years which has been another passion. Finding Geoff Lawton’s free videos on line, I gobbled up the information and signed up for the online PDC which has transformed my vision delightfully.
My permaculture intentions are to develop a 40 acre property in Tenterfield (cool temperate) into a self-sustaining productive educational system using multi species rotational animal systems, food forests and diverse animal fodder swales on contour, aquaculture in dams and chanampas, bio char production, viticulture, bees, composting, food preserving and cheese making. Permaculture consultancy for rural properties, hosting Wwoofers, starting a permaculture group in the shire and sharing permaculture knowledge through teaching are part of the plan, whilst I continue to learn and grow.
