(projects i'm involved in)
I have a background in green building and renewable energy. Although I traveled and took several short Permaculture courses before and since, I did not receive my PDC until 2010 when Dick Pierce came to Dallas to teach.
I became interested in Permaculture in 2003 when I heard a one-hour talk. I was hooked. Started reading, surfing, traveling, and trying to find a teacher in Dallas. I did in 2010!
I taught a 16 day course in 2012-2013 and decided that Permaculture needed to be available to the masses at a reasonable cost with scholarships for young people available freely and often. In 2013 we started a Permaculture School in North Texas. We try to have introductory courses all over the metroplex. Our PDC courses are in Greenville and at Wildflower Ecovillage just east of Greenville where we have large acreage for ample hands-on experience. We are finishing our first class of 2015 in June. Our next class will be fall of 2015. However, we have many one or two day classes during the year. You can reach me at 972 251-1532.
