We are part of a small, mostly family, collective working hard to build a permaculture system on a farm in rural northern Nicaragua. Until recently, I worked in a coal and gas fired power plant complex as an operator in the US. Before that, I worked in a petroleum refinery. Experiencing firsthand how devastatingly polluting this outdated technology is, even at its best, I determined to jump ship and seek a different path. I owe a great debt to the planet for my years in heavy industry and can think of no better way to attempt to repay it than through dedicated permaculture which I discovered through Geoff Lawton's videos on the internet.
