I studied Biology and Chemistry in School. Then studied a Bachelor of Science Majoring in Aquaculture. When I finished that degree I started a Diploma in Building Design. Now I have built my parents house I am looking to make a permaculture Garden on 2.5 acres.
I became interested after watching "Establishing a Food Forest" by Geoff Lawton. Also I study Health so having food security is important. Permaculture seems to be the only way to have that security.
I have a 2.5 acre block of shale rock which slopes down to a creek. I want to make as much as I can into a food forest. I have bought some cowpea, mung bean and japanese millet to start the undergrowth. I have heaps of cat tail grass growing along with some other unidentified plants, which I will use as mulch.
