I think that all farming has to be regenerative and that we all have to live in natures biological cycle, that is the only way we have a future on this planet in the long run. We are dealing with complex issues that humans has failed to solve. Permaculture farming is the solution, a regenerative and holistic way of living in all senses is the way forward, a much more productive kind of farming than the conventional farming many are relying on today. Nature is never stupid, we just have to understand nature, from the smallest microorganism to the biggest animals or plants.
I was a biological agriculture teacher in Africa and Denmark for more than 30 years, having the Danish farmer education and the Farming adviser education specializing in crops, and finally Agriculture engineer (MSc) in international farming business and management. I did my Agriculture Engineering (MSc) on the subject of “Biological Recycling and Reuse of Water” almost like Permaculture before I knew about permaculture.
I am now making my permaculture project here in Denmark, getting some experience and showing what can be done working with nature instead of against nature.
I have 3 websites www.permaculturefarmers.com, www.permaculturefarmers.dk and www.økohave.dk I have started teaching permaculture and advising in gardens small farms. The same time I have contacts to farmers in Africa that would also like to work with permaculture.
I work with farming development in Africa in the 80 and 90’s in Botswana’s the Kalahari Desert. I developed a kind of farming and named Integrated Farming, see link (http://permaculturefarmers.com/farmingworks.html) That was the time where I started working on ideas for recycling and reusing all resources, like in nature “Any output is the right input somewhere else in the natures biological cycle” Nature never have any waste.
