For the past 5 years I've been garnering what I can about how to work with the earth as naturally as possible in gardening and natural foraging efforts on a small plot in Texas. Over time I started observing patterns on the land and began experimenting with various water retention and combined growing techniques on my own. Sometimes this resulted in great things and at others the result was horrible.

After punching in 'patterns in growing' into a search engine one night years ago I came across permaculture. Shortly thereafter an old friend paid a surprise visit and turned me on to 'The One Straw Revolution'. Life was not the same and I've been reading and applying since.

Due to a mechanical mishap I just experienced the last half of a pdc that I hope to complete in the spring. Silver lingings: I learned how to fix a clutch and got to meet some great people that I know I'll see again. After the completion in the spring it's off to a very different zone in the northeastern US to work with some experienced permaculturists in starting up a new model farm.
