Curiousity got the better of me in 1991 when a guest speaker mentioned Permaculture in a seminar I was running in my then health promotion job. I was hooked, read and 'applied' everything pre-internet permaculture I could find in my spare time…with mixed success. Raising children, building a career as an educator and my present communication skills training business, plus writing for educational publishers, has fast-forwarded me through 20 plus years since that time.

Choosing a PDC course with Geoff Lawton in 2014 quite simply changed my focus from permaculture as a 'gardening hobby', to recognising a pathway to help ourselves and Earth.

Pushing my permaculture skills beyond my own garden is in my future… prying me away from it long enough to do so, is the obstacle :) I can write about and contribute to urban design consultation and teaching by using what I know, learn and practice in my suburban context, and extensive experience as an educator. I can contribute to permaculture educational design using my adult education qualifications and experience.
