I currently reside on the property in Southeastern Michigan where my grandfather put in the small apple orchard and expanded the deer trails into walking trails and my parents built the home. In addition to exploring every inch of it and neighboring land on horseback, I am now raising my own children there. Professionally, I have been involved in IT, bioinformatics, health informatics, online strategy, and integrated marketing.

My interest in permaculture came from decades of searching for "the right answer" to honor the property where I live and leave the world a better place when I'm gone. Permaculture is the closest I've come to finding that right answer.

My better half and I are initiating the restoration of oak savanna on our rolling property and figuring out how to move forward. Our intentions are to learn as much as possible, and share as much as possible, about holistic, integrated, healthy models for creating a healthier planet, property, and community.
