Completed my PDC in January 2014. Currently taking courses in Sustainability and the Built Environment from University of California, as well as participating in Lake County's Master Gardener program. I am 21 years old, and feel permaculture design and education to be my dedicated life's work.
Permaculture is a way for everyone to maximize the generation and the usefulness of the resources available to us. It is a calling to take care of the earth, it's people, and it's resources; sharing our excesses and creating these abundances in a symbiotic cycle of give and take, time propels the movement infinitely forward, as it does the change and transition of energy movement on the planet.
I am currently working on a community center and living market, Rare Earth Beauties. Rare meaning "marked by unusual quality, merit, or appeal". Our goal is to share the principles of permaculture with those looking to make environmental impact and regenerate the community surrounding them. We're located in Lake County, California, a county known for it's lower income status more predominately than it's beautiful natural heritage and historic lake. We are working to change that perception, by providing a hub for transition, in participation with many other local groups and inspirational citizens.
This is a portion of the project submitted to gain my PDC.
