Lulu's garden is an Urban Food Forest Project 3 minutes from downtown Trenton Missouri. The project land is .97 Acres, and boasts a 5 bedroom residential home. We Host educational events virtually and on site. Sale everything garden related, and work on a community level to increase independence at the Home level through Sharing Resources, information, and hands on education. This project currently hosts 27 fruit trees, 23 berry varieties, and a 90'x30' Back to Eden Garden on the south property end. The project scope involves the entire workable space of the property, including but not limited to: The residence, front, back, and side yards, overgrown/forested areas, and a 7 layer forest system. The seven layers of a food forest: 1- Canopy – large fruit and nut trees 2 - Low Tree Layer – smaller fruit trees 3 - Shrubs – currants and berries 4 - Herbaceous – herbs 5 - Rhizosphere (Root) – root vegetables 6 - Soil surface – ground cover 7 - Vertical (or Vine) layer – vines and climbers The property was once a duplex, and has a 2nd front facing door. The indoor framing and remodeling will make use of this space to host United Works LLC Principle office, and will maintain a home based business function through the entity "Lulu's Garden". The goal for this project is to introduce a completely self sustaining foodscape, with an income source through the avenues generated at the forest itself. Namely, working with local amish mills to supply inexpensive white oak for custom buitl raised beds sold at the garden. 30 Variety seed packets stocked and shipped on site, garden tours and education free for the local community, and surplus processed and sold in small business's and surrounding cities as supplies allow. Online events and education is offered through the process, and social media pages contain the progress photos, videos, and descriptions from the start of this process, Which can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/lulus.garden.h.h and Here: https://www.facebook.com/UnitedWorksCo/

Note: The various badges displayed in people profiles are largely honesty-based self-proclamations by the individuals themselves. There are reporting functions users can use if they know of blatant misrepresentation (for both people and projects). Legitimacy, competency and reputation for all people and projects can be evidenced and/or developed through their providing regular updates on permaculture work they’re involved in, before/after photographs, etc. A spirit of objective nurturing of both people and projects through knowledge/encouragement/inspiration/resource sharing is the aim of the Worldwide Permaculture Network.

PRI TeacherWith the exception of the ‘Member’ who has never taken a PDC, all of the above can apply to become a PRI PDC Teacher. PRI PDC Teachers are those who the PRI recognise, through a vetting board, as determined and competent to teach the full 72-hour course as developed by Permaculture founder Bill Mollison – covering all the topics of The Designers’ Manual as well as possible (i.e. not cherry picking only aspects the teacher feels most interested or competent in). Such teachers also commit to focussing on the design science, and not including subjective spiritual/metaphysical elements. The reason these items are not included in the PDC curriculum is because they are “belief” based. Permaculture Design education concerns itself with teaching good design based on strategies and techniques which are scientifically provable. PRI PDC Teachers may be given teaching and/or consultancy offerings as they become available as the network grows. |
