Permaculture Food Forest and Fedge project at Faywood Hot Springs in NM. an RV camping and cabin park in SW New Mexico.
Looking for total immersion and relative seclusion in a relatively hot place for a while?
Come Camp or R.V. or cabin if you can afford it, and I will drown you in permaculture theory and active projects. We are creating a food forest and fedge along several miles of edge as it winds its way around this 26 acre property inside a 720 acre parcel of New Mexico high desert.
I can't afford to pay for your housing, or your food, but you're welcome to graze and forage. I can offer you access to work sites, materials, guidance and facilitation through the process as well as internet access. I've done the PDC and have been active doing rainwater harvesting, cob, gardening, workshops, solar etc, on and off for about 16 years. I'm pretty laid back, but we've got some things to get done, so expect a mix of that.
I am in the process of installing a full dozen pocket orchards and garden spaces throughout the property. This is a business and business is the priority so not all activities on site will be permaculture based at this time, but your activities will be confined to permaculture projects.
There is a lot of room here for creativity, I've got a basic theme and the business has their priorities, but with in that frame work there is a lot of room for doing your own thing.
Contact me if you are interested in being involved. I am also looking for teachers that want to be involved in an internet based setup or on site.
Check out bartswindow.com, also my gmail address, I've got some stuff on there, but to be honest I haven't put a lot of time on developing my internet presence lately. I am developing a FarmOS Site for management if you know what that is.
