This PDC is designed to give you a unique, one-of-a-kind experience, in a vibrant, multicultural environment, with participants coming from around the world. The course will be conducted in English by Rhamis Kent and translated into Italian by Erika Andenna, forestry technician with an innate passion for permaculture.
The PDC will be hosted by one of the most respected institutions of Buddhism in the West, the Lama Tsong Khapa Institute of Pisa (www.iltk.org), chosen for its beautiful, tranquil setting, ideal for reflecting and sharing knowledge and for getting in touch with Eastern philosophy, very much akin to permaculture in sharing a holistic vision.
During this PDC topics discussing the harming of any living thing will not be covered in respect to the precepts held by the Lama Tsong Khapa Institute. Also, it is recommended that students each make a donation to the institute equal to 25% of the cost of participating on the course.
For those that wish, there will be an entire day dedicated to the principle "Watch and Interact", an ancient technique used by the Sioux, Native Americans of the Great Plains, who were able to enter into a deep empathic contact with their horses, which they rode bareback and without a bridle.
