Compost Worm Towers

Posted by Shelley Burgstaller over 9 years ago

We have wonderful hard working worms (Eisenia Fetida, Tiger Worms) in our kitchen.

Once our wormery gets full we transfer a handful of worms to each of our three worm towers in the garden.

The towers are made of PVC pipes that have holes drilled in the bottom.  A piece of mosquitoe nets and used plant pot act as a lid on the top of the tower to keep the dogs and cats and kids out.

I put in veggy waste and the worms come into the towers to fed and then exit through the holes to burrow and spread their castings thoughout the hugel bed, or high bed, or in the grow house.

These industrious worms are miracle workers who transform our clay ground into glorious fertile earth.  Thank You to each wiggly one!

Kola BOB
Kola BOB : This Canadian Deerfoot Casino site is distinguished by its large selection of games and user-friendly interface. The graphics and sound are of a very high standard, which makes the game even more exciting. I also liked the ability to play with live dealers, which adds to the realism. The payout speed was very nice - the funds are credited to my account very quickly, which is an important criterion for me.
