Would you like to live in a permaculture sanctuary?
In exchange for a large and beautiful room in a big house right on the beach at Bungan on Sydney's Northern Beaches, you would help out in the garden four or five mornings (or afternoons) a week, learning while you work. You would also have some small tasks to do on a daily basis, like feeding the fish or locking up the chickens.
We have big permaculture gardens set over 3 blocks, a seed raising greenhouse, chooks, an extensive aquaponics set up (in a converted swimming pool), 2 native bee hives, 2 European bee hives, worm farms, maggot breeders and heaps of other fun stuff.
The ideal person would be female, a keen learner, with some permaculture or gardening training or experience, very reliable (you would be relied on to feed fish, take care of chooks etc), easy to get along with and take directions well.
You would be sharing the house with myself and my partner, one other housemate and (usually) 2 wwoofers! We have a friendly and dynamic house, which is well set up so you can enjoy company when you want it or your own space. We generally share the cooking and meals/food can be included in your stay if you are willing to share in the food preparation tasks (this are pretty broad as we make our own jun, kefir, bone broth, preserves, ferments, nut butters etc).
