The Waikato Region is widely acknowledged as the engine room for the New Zealand dairy sector. Rain in the months of November and December are critical to grass growth and sustained production. With the threat of ENSO looming seasonal forecasts for the country really earn their keep. Most of the Waikato is tracking well for a close to average rainfall for November. With the just released December and January forecasts looking slightly drier than average for the region rainfall like today's are even more valuable. Check www.extendweather.com for updates every 10 days on the Waikato region's and country's rainfall and temperature forecast for the next three months.
