Have skills in permaculture? Always dreamt of working and living in the real Africa? Want to be part of a groundbreaking initiative?
The Manda Wilderness Community Trust (www.mandawilderness.org) is seeking an active, adventurous individual to help make its experimental farm in northeastern Mozambique a show-case for agricultural and conservational development. The farm, alongside Lake Niassa, promotes farmer field-schools in each of the 16 villages in our area. You would work with five local staff and an experienced Tanzanian agronomist, and be supervised by the Local Community Project manager.
The living conditions, albeit basic, are very welcoming; you would be living in “Songea”, a picturesque house located a 5-minute walk from the premises of the Nkwichi Lodge/MWCT managerial staff, and another 5 minutes from your main office –the farm! Internet access is restricted, with a 1-hour limit per day.
If you want to be part of this experience contact us at jemtoye@gmail.com and/or mwct@mandawilderness.org with a cover letter accompanied by your resumé or CV.
