Cheese Making Basics

Posted by Intern TEC over 9 years ago

This Saturday July 18 (from 1 to 3pm)you can learn about culturing techniques, and the tools, materials, and ingredients you'll need to become a cheese maker!!

In this workshop, learn how to turn milk into delicious cheese. Learn ingredients, techniques, tools, and skills around culturing, draining, and ripening cheeses.

There are many reasons to make cheese at home rather than purchase it in a grocery store. When you make your own cheese, you reduce the waste associated with the processing, packaging, refrigerating and transporting that comes with store bought cheese. Plus, you eliminate preservatives, stabilizers, artificial ingredients, and the plastic wrap. Join us to become a cheese maker today, and taste the difference!

The Ecology Center is a non-profit educational center that teaches hands-on environmental solutions at the household and community scale. Your participation supports our programs and our mission to inspire and create a healthy and sustainable future for all.
Tickets available on our website are $40 for members and $50 for non-members. The proceeds support our non-profit eco-educational programs.

*Become an Advocate of The Ecology Center to receive member discounts. Plus, after you complete 5 workshops and 5 eco actions, you are eligible to receive 1 free workshop! Join Us!!
