Last year it has been really dry with average rainfall being at 60% of normal levels. Neigboring farmers are struggling to feed their animals as their pastures are barren. I would like to share with you some pictures of my permaculture pastures compared to the monoculture lucerne pastures of my neighbor after a year long drought that has affected the whole agricultural community (and hence the local economy and community). I tried to make an unbiased article with pure and simple observations and keep it fair, i.e. not funny tricks, no photoshopping or manipulations. Just permaculture at its best. Please have a look at it on my webpage (which compares in detail the two types of pastures) and don't hesitate to get in touch to ask for more information.
