In this coming October, we are building a hut made from natural material on our land. The main construction material will be mud, wood, bamboo, and leaf. We try to preserve the precious traditional knowledge from our ancestor, but at the same time we also inoculate suitable new technology, such as solar power system.
If you love simple peaceful life, healthy life style, community living, hands-on practical learning, this course is definitely designed for you. We warm-heartedly welcome anyone who are interested, from any background to come and join and have fun with us.
What kind of learning is included in this course?
How to use machete.
How to make simple utensils and tools by using machete, such as bamboo plate, cup, chopstick, spoon, and etc.
Some gardening and farming.
Introduction of natural building.
House designing and sector analysis.
How to use construction tools.
Basic knowledge of mud, wood, and bamboo.
How to prepare mud brick.
How to prepare wood poles, wood beams and wood structures.
How to prepare concrete foundation, floor, wall, and roof.
How to design and prepare kitchen, food storage store, waste water system
How to construct toilet.
Other maintenance of house.
About basic electricity system and how to prepare green energy.
Survival skills such as how to make a fire.
Local traditional cooking and food, picking food from food forest.
Basic yoga and meditation.
Participants are encouraged to bring along own notes and stationeries, sleeping bag, flash light, organic soap, sensible clothing and footware, personal medicine.
Course fee: 8800 Thai Bath per participant for 2 weeks, including vegan/vegetarian food and simple accommodation.
