Let’s face it; it is really unpleasant excavating clay in the rain when it is only a couple of degrees above freezing, so I gave it a miss this week
On the other hand the wind died off so I was able to haul, cut
and split the fallen tree into useful chunks of firewood. You have to wait
until the wind dies down because otherwise chunks of tree fall down and may
possibly hit you in the head.
Some of that new firewood is burning in the wood box at the
moment and that heat is also being put to good use baking some banana muffins. Not only are the dogs currently cooking
themselves on the hearth...
