Sunday June 8th
We forked the ground in preparation for the first bed. We've decided to concentrate on making one bed for starters to see how it goes and do the second one afterwards and perhaps make it a public demonstration event.
A few people also brought plants which we have placed temporarily in the comfrey bed.
The
water barrel was delivered but sadly, we have not been given permission
to install it, despite everyone's best efforts to persuade the condo
association administrator what a great and sensible thing it is to do.
So the barrel is behind a sculptured armchair and the plan will be that the town will be filling it up for us twice a week when they go and water their plants anyway.
IT WILL BE LAKE WATER. Im a little worried about that and I am looking forward to learning about what that really means for the healthiness of our garden and produce.
To be continued!
