Home grown Happiness is teaching one of their courses in Quinta da Ravina, Benfeita, Portugal.
Quinta da Ravina is the home of Nikki and Sean, where they live in their permaculture renovated stone quinta (farm). They own 2,5 hectares of organic gardens, forest and woodland and a happy stream with waterfall flows through their land. They are a very interesting site, as they only been actively doing permaculture on the land for the last year and already have introduced permaculture gardens, compost-systems, mulch-bed vegetable patches, 30 M of hugelcultur fruit banks and a large amount of fruit trees. They also practise natural dyeing. Next to their beautiful outdoor unlimited teaching possibilities, Quinta da Ravina has a 6m tipi for indoor classes in case of rain, a Sala-area with mountain-view, a movement and morningclass space between olive trees and a a shaded wooden deck to relax in between classes.
