Help Needed in Ireland

Getting a neglected organic farm back on its feet again using permaculture principles.

If you're willing and able, come and stay in a beautiful area of West Cork. We're just starting out with a really interesting project. This is an oasis surrounded by monoculture and if we can show success we may be able to improve the whole area.

Own room and own living room in an easy-going household (dogs on sofas!). We can accommodate a couple. Good food provided, increasingly from the garden. No special skills required, as long as you're enthusiastic about permaculture.

Dilek Sezgin : I am intereste , I would love to come and visit and see first-hand some permaculture practices ( without spending a lot, therefore your exchange program would be a great help. I work as an electronics technologist, full-time and I am planning to take some vacation during July . I would love to come and help out for three weeks and bring my daughter(17) with me, to introduce her to permaculture. It would be unlikely she would like to work long hours but I am happy to do what is needed to gain as much knowledge as possible. If you find this would work for you and your farm-schedule please let me know and perhaps you could suggest some dates that would work. Perhaps you could give me an idea of a typical daily or weekly schedule, which I assume would be weather dependant. Dilek

Nina Li : I would like to help you guys. I don't know yet when I am aviable, but maybe it can be from october this year. I am not sure, because first I will visit othr projects to improve my skills. I will always visit friends in Dublin and will let you know when I have free time to help you guys! :)

We really want to do permaculture, to build together a healthy society and the environment in which our children in the future could live happily, to understand the real values of life. Young sane family with stunning child and cheerful clever dog, from Western Ukraine ready to share their energy, time and skills to realize the project of permaculture. If necessary it is possible moving to a permanent place of residence. I hope our knowledge in the field of construction, architecture will bring additional benefits in the development of wonderful things. If proposals are still relevant, I can discuss everything in detail.

	PRI Teacher With the exception of the ‘Member’ who has never taken a PDC, all of the above can apply to become a PRI PDC Teacher. PRI PDC Teachers are those who the PRI recognise, through a vetting board, as determined and competent to teach the full 72-hour course as developed by Permaculture founder Bill Mollison – covering all the topics of The Designers’ Manual as well as possible (i.e. not cherry picking only aspects the teacher feels most interested or competent in). Such teachers also commit to focussing on the design science, and not including subjective spiritual/metaphysical elements. The reason these items are not included in the PDC curriculum is because they are “belief” based. Permaculture Design education concerns itself with teaching good design based on strategies and techniques which are scientifically provable. PRI PDC Teachers may be given teaching and/or consultancy offerings as they become available as the network grows.
	Aid Worker The individual with this badge is indicating they are, have, or would like to be involved in permaculture aid work. As such, the individual may or may not have permaculture aid worker experience. Watch their updates for evaluation.
	Consultant The individual with this badge is indicating they are, have, or would like to do paid permaculture design consultancy work. As such, the individual may or may not have permaculture consultancy experience. Watch their updates for evaluation.
	Community Project Community projects are projects that help develop sustainable community interaction and increase localised resiliency.
