Permaculture Training Course with International Certification in Barcelona - August 8th to 18th 2013

Training course in a property in transition towards self-sustainability located in the Natural Park of Collserola (Vallvidrera - Barcelona)

Delivered by Skye, former astrophysicist with more than 30 years of experience as a professor of Permaculture in several countries around the world. Skye is a pioneer in the teaching of PDC, the Permaculture Design Certificate Course based on the methodology of the Dragon Dreaming by John Croft.

Born in Australia, where the Holistic Design has been created, Skye has lived for 10 years in the "Crystal Waters Permaculture Village", in Australia, considered one of the best permaculture and “ecovilas” centers in the world. He has a master degree in Integrated EcoSocial Design Integrative Planning Eco-social Systems by Gaia University and is the co-author of the book "Manual for Teaching Permaculture Creatively". Skye has been the facilitator of the Advanced Course at the Teachers Association of Permaculture in the United States. He is the co-founder of the Earthcare Enterprises, institution who organizes Permaculture Design Certificate trainings, and also of the Geelong Permaculture Design Collective, that provides consulting on permaculture. Finally, Skye is the Education Director at the Mexican Permaculture Institute and colaborates to disseminate their techniques in Mexico.

Currently living in Brazil, he acts as a facilitator in Permaculture trainings in several locations and manages UniGaia-Brazil.

Co-facilitators:

Robin Clayfield: has been a facilitator in Permaculture trainings and also teaching permaculture in Australia and other countries for 30 years. Expert in Creative Permaculture, Deep Ecology, empowerment of people and group dynamics with the goal to activate the self-development and sense of community. Author of "You Can Have Your Permaculture And Eat It Too" and author of "Manual for Teaching Permaculture Creatively". Since 1988 Clayfield lives in the Crystal Waters Permaculture Village, Australia.

Marcelo Bueno: Founder of the Institute of Permaculture and Ecovilas of Mata Atlantica (IPEMA-Brazil). He is member of the Ecovillage Network of The Americas (ENA) and the Brazilian Network Ecovilas. Bueno is a bio-architect and works with green building projects and with recycling systems and the reuse of wastewater. He is currently working with the development of sustainable residential projects.

Bruna Angrisani: Founding member of the cooperative "La Naranja Orgánica", Angrisani is graduated in Social Communications by the Catholic University of Santos (Brazil), and has a diploma in Permaculture by the "Institute of Permaculture and Ecovilas of Mata Atlântica" (IPEMA / Brazil) where she was a student of Skye and Marcelo Bueno. Bruna Angrisani also has been certified in Bio Construction by the Project Aldeia Experience in Brazil.

Andreza Poitena – Andeza has diplomas in Permaculture by "Rede Permeate" (Brazil) and Bio Construction by "Natural Abode" (Brazil). She is a founding member of the Bio Reconstruction project of the Indian village "Tabacu Rekoypi" (Aldeia Experience) in Brazil and of the collective "Cultive Resistência". Andreza is also a colaborator at "La Naranja Orgánica" cooperative.

Josimas Ramos – Josimas is Head of Civil construction and has a diploma in Bio Construction by "Natural Adobe" (Brazil). He is a founding member of the Bio Reconstruction project of the Indian village "Tabacu Rekoypi" (Aldeia Experience) in Brazil and of the collective "Cultive Resistência". Josimas is also a colaborator at "La Naranja Organica" cooperative.

Target audience: Considering permaculture as a design tool for systems and human environments integrated to all other life forms, this course is aimed at anyone who is worried about how to implement the actions needed to meet the challenges of systemic crisis experienced by the global society.

Investment: 650 (registration until July 17) or 740 euros. Includes lecture and practical classes, group dynamics, vegetarian meals, certificate and a CD with course material. Accomodation available (please check in advance).

* Ex-participants of trainings or meetings organized by " La Naranja Organica " pay 550 euros.
