Unless you buy the propaganda Norway is very intense. I if it didn’t happen that I lived solidarity for many years, working for organizations and movements of marginalized groups and individuals all around the world, I would be clueless too. Now I reason that living in ignorance is the only thing that is worse than living knowing about mercury in vaccines, radioactivity in fire-alarms, deadly cell poison (AZT) administered by force to infants, depleted uranium weapons, Roundup, Agent Green…
When I say that Norway is intense, it is not because there are road-blocks and paramilitaries here, it is because Norway is the 7th biggest arms exporter in the world - it is the nature of the criminal activities that are operated from here that makes it very intense. To deal with it, people are becoming increasingly xenophobic, I can elaborate under “comments” if anyone should read this with curiosity.
For now I attach two pictures, one self-explanatory and the other one a screen dump I took today. Income, fortune, and tax contribution is made available on-line by ‘Dagbladet’, one of Norway’s biggest newspapers. Dagbladet has also digested numbers, showing how much each individual is contributing to: ‘soldiers in Afghanistan’, ‘4 lane highways’ and ‘hours in a F16-plane’. Not paying income tax – and trying to reduce all other forms for taxes to a minimum – is something that is very important for me to feel “OK” about living here.
