For about 18 months I've weighed up a few distance learning PDCs but they just didn't seem to grab me. A couple of days ago I stumbled on a course I hadn't seen before and it had an Intro to Permaculture for a fraction of the whole course...so I thought I'd give it a go. I contacted the site to see what was covered, one thing led to another and I ended up on the full PDC!
I realise doing it all online isn't going to give me the full hands-on, social thing but I can't do that - I have kids and no sitter. I've looked at local courses, but I can't do the 2 weeks, residentials, weekends or evenings...so I'm pretty stumped. I 'can' do working online whenever I get chance. Up to now I've had to rely on books and free videos, now I get chance to really learn properly and hopefully turn my allotment/community garden into something great, instead of continually rousing the criticism of old-timers and The Management.
Bring it on!
