Evelyn Bishop : Thanks Andrew! Here in Panama there are at least 6 species of Living Fence. In the Chiriqui region, it seems Makano is the most popular. They make wonderful shaded lanes and provide strong and durable fence posts from the branches.

I've spent quite a lot of time in Southern Costa Rica, and I've never seen Makano there. It's continues to surprise me that certain plants just don't cross the border.
