We run an alley cropping system; composed of leguminous trees, hibiscus and Amora, a kind of berry, as the trees lins; and in between the tree lines we plant grains and sometimes gardens. Here the irrigation system is running to avoid frost damage.

We produce 15 varieties of corn seed. They look beautifull!

A dream comes true: we were able to plant and harvest our own wheat. We have planted 4 seasons already, saving seeds for the next one, feeding the familly and selling surplus flour for friends.

This is a part of our gardens: vibrant with vegetables, flowers and green manures.

We have a deal with our fence neighbour: We left him some grass to feed the cows in our area, and in exchange we harvest some manure from his animals. Grass in, compost out!

Here is a green manure (Raphanus sativus) used to break soil compaction. It grew fantastically!

We have used animal power to till the land; as it was necessary to "break" the "rabo de burro" grass and start planting green manures.
